Spanish-based filmmaker Isabel Coixet has created an audio-installation artwork in homage to Booker prize-winning author, John Berger, featuring the voices of some of film’s most remarkable women.
For the audio component of the installation titled “From I To J” (meaning, from Isabel to John), Coixet gathered an incredible list of actresses including Tilda Swinton, Isabelle Huppert, Penélope Cruz, Monica Bellucci, Patricia Clarkson and Sarah Polley, among others, and recorded them reading the letters taken directly out of From A To X: A Story In Letters, Berger’s powerful exploration of human fragility.
The book with audio CD of the readings are now available from cool online book stores.
