BRUCE WILLIS DOES HIGH FASHION

medium_547e1334db851549df47bf945fea26ea

In between saving the world and doing Rugrats voice overs Mr.Bruce Willis has managed to fit in time to remind us all that he’s still high fashion.

I mean, if he ever was high fashion that is???

Bruce gets his new age secret agent hat on in a steamy romantic affair type shoot, think Saw meets James Bond, funnily enough with the latest woman in his life; his new wife Emma Willis. The images published show Mr.Willis in quite a few compromising positions. (I hope my marriage looks something like this.)

Even after vowing to never re-marry after his last one went rupt Bruce credits Emma to renewing the happiness in  his life hence why he decided to don the ring:

“I went from ‘Fuck love’ to ‘Love is truly the answer, I spent the last 10 years single and, for the most part, unhappy. In a dark place. I never thought that being with someone else was the answer. I would say, ‘I’m alone, but I’m not lonely.’ But I was just kidding myself. Then I started hanging around Emma, and on a day-to-day basis my life became much happier.”

“Honeymoon Hotel” shot by Steven Klein for W Mag’s July Issue is sure to get all those midday hormones bubbling.

Amazing Jewellery Editorial For Flair

flair-mag-editorial-1

It’s not often that we’re impressed by an editorial shoot in print mag so much so that we feel we need to share it based purely on the quality of the visual aesthetic of the images. In saying that the pictures above and below are  insanely prodigious and deserve every bit of coverage they get.

Pictures shot by Alix Malka for Flair Magazine. Jewellery modelled by Lydia Hearst.

Justice, LCD Soundsystem To Work With Devo On New LPs?

devo_justice_jamesmurphy

Way to start the hype machine rolling but in an interview with the LA times Devo’s Mark Mothersbaugh let slide that there’s a high possibility of hearing some LCD Soundsystem - James Murphy - Devo collabs in the not too distant future.

As well as that, adding fuel to the fire Mark Mothersbaugh also mentioned that Justice and Fat Boy Slim have both openly expressed interest in working with Devo whilst sharing a recent Japanese festival bill.

LA Times: There are rumors of Devo working with James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem.
Mark Mothersbaugh: “That was a total misquote. [Devo member] Gerald [Casale] had said we were searching for people like James to work with, which somehow turned into him helming the entire album. When we contacted him to apologize for the misunderstanding, he said he’d love to work with us. We played a Japanese festival recently between Justice and Fatboy Slim, both of whom said they’d like to work with us too.”

Could you imagine how amazing a Devo produced Justice or LCD Soundsystem album would sound! Only time will tell…

Pedestrian’s favourite Aussie model, Dolly model comp alumni and Victoria’s Secret Angel Jessica Hart is now looking to add “designer” to her ever growing portfolio of success.

The gap tooth beauty told news.com.au that she’s currently in the process of setting up her own fabric gig which will be released in collaboration with a charitable organisation in the not too distant future.

“I’m also in talks with people to design my own line of clothes in collaboration with a charity, but I can’t say much on that right now,” she said.

Finally an Aussie model with the potential to actually produce something worthy of being worn.

RAF SIMONS FOR FRED PERRY AUTUMN WINTER 09

11

AUTUMN WINTER 2009 marks Raf Simons and Fred Perry’s third season collaborating together. Even though the static littered look book doesn’t let you pull many adjectives, as per what you’d imagine it’s groovy as always with Fred Perry’s circa 1960s thirty leaf laurel getting a rustic make over.

“The collaboration has developed in an excellent way. We started off positively and it has only gone from strength to strength. I think they are a very professional team who share the same spirit and mind. Quality is very important for me and the Fred Perry quality is definitely outstanding. As well as being professional, they are also lovely to work with…

The main aim for S/S 10 was to offer a complete, structured collection and to build on this range going forward by creating a wardrobe’ collection that includes apparel, footwer and accessories. We feel this has been achieved in A/W 09 and are looking forward to creating a S/S 10 collection which mirrors this in both quality and style. Colours will be bright. ” Raf Simons told Dazed.

Bring on Fred Perry + Raf Simons Spring Summer 2010!

Animal Collective “Summmertime Clothes” Video

ANIMAL_COLLECTIVE

I kind of feel that Animal Collective’s latest kaleidoscopic dream for their single; “Summmertime Clothes” depicts what I’d imagine my insides would look like during their last operational moments. Beatific, beautiful, festive and exotic yet slightly dark with undertones of fear and sorrow.

Director & Editor: Danny Perez
Director of Photography: Ryan Samul
Producer: Lizz Morhaim, Daniel Grossman
Dancers: The Brooklyn based FLEX dance crew.

POST IT NOTE STOP MOTION VIDEO

post-it

Post-It notes, much like serial-killing clowns are a colourful, seemingly innocuous harbinger of doom. Don’t let their shiny happy hues fool you - that deadline ain’t going away anytime soon. They’re also the perfect vehicle for disgruntled housemates to communicate with one another passive-aggressively because let’s face it, speaking in person is so goddamn hard. Instead of talking shit out like adults we’re left with tiny messages like: “Please wash this - it’s been sitting here for days!!!” or “I’d appreciate it if you replaced the milk you borrowed ASAP” in glorious shades of magenta, peach and canary yellow.

Thankfully Savannah College of Art and Design student Bang-Yao Liu has found a use for the humble Post-It that doesn’t involve smugly communicating with housemates or a physical reminder of how poor your time management skills are. Actually it kind of evokes the latter. Anyway check out his senior art project - a stop-motion world where Post-Its are painstakingly re-imagined as pixels. On a side-note the track is credited to Royksopp but does anyone get the feeling it’ll break into Ratatat’s Wildcat at any second?
